Master Cecilia Nguyen

Master Cecilia Nguyen began her Taekwondo training under Grandmaster Shin at the Camarillo location when she was 6 years old.  Admittedly, she did NOT like Taekwondo and actually cried before coming to every class.  However, her tenacity and "never give up" attitude that she exemplifies today helped her push through the beginning stages of her flourishing Taekwondo career!  Having a 3rd Degree Black Belt Father and 2nd Degree little Brother also helps!

The discipline she learned in the dojang she carried to her academic education as well.  She graduated from Camarillo High School, with honors.  While competing and instructing for Tae Ryong - Camarillo, Master Nguyen completed all her graduation and transfer requirements from Moorpark College with honors and as Vice President.  From there, she was accepted to UCLA and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and a won the Taekwondo National Championship in Forms and Sparring.

Today, she is the Chief Master Instructor at Tae Ryong - Brentwood and is developing various programs to improve our organization and create more successful members just like her!
