Seoyeon Kim, a 10.5-year-old girl. Favorite color; pink, spirit animal; cat, favorite dessert; Neapolitan ice cream. Ever since her younger brother Aiden expressed an interest in Taekwondo, Seoyeon decided to give it a try too. From her very first class, she was hooked and discovered an instant love for the art.
Her favorite techniques include the knife hand high block, neck strike, and palm press block, spear finger poke. Seoyeon owes a debt of gratitude to her mother for sparking her interest in Taekwondo initially, and her father for sharing valuable tips from his own experiences on his journey to achieving his black belt.
Aiden Kim, a spirited 7.5-year-old boy. Favorite color; teal, spirit animal; ram, favorite dessert; chocolate cake. Aiden embarked on his Taekwondo journey after his mother mentioned it to him. Excited and full of anticipation, Aiden was slightly disappointed to find that the studio wasn't as large as he had imagined. However, he soon discovered that Taekwondo was much more than just exercise—it taught him invaluable self-defense skills. A recent incident on the school playground showcased Aiden's growth, as he defended himself with remarkable restraint, choosing not to retaliate. His newfound self-discipline and composure are a testament to the positive impact of Taekwondo on his character. He is particularly drawn to the coolness of the spinning kicks in Taekwondo. Among his favorite techniques is the back spinning kick, a move that showcases his agility and determination.
